7 DAYS 6 NIGHTS ADVENTURE IN NORTH VIETNAM

The landscapes of North Vietnam are of legendary beauty, including mountain covered with vegetation, both on land and at sea (Bai Tu Long bay). Farther inland, the mountains are also home to an incredible mosaic of mountain people from diverse backgrounds, who have installed over multiple waves of migration from southern China, fleeing the Chinese expansionist push. We will meet these people on the mountain trails and on the markets in a region bordering China, the beautiful enigmatic rock formations, among which are ed rice terraces and villages. We first discovered on foot and by boat on Lake Ba Be, around which people live H'mong, Dao (pronounced Zao) and Tay. Then we will cross the limestone from the Upper Tonkin Cao Bang, Dong Khe up and That Khe, through a landscape of great beauty, inhabited by populations Tay, Nung and Dao. We will then explore by boat the famous Ha Long bay

Day 1: Ha Noi - Ba Be lake

Day 2: Ba Be trekking

Day 3: Ba Be - Hua Ma cave - Cao Bang

Day 4: Cao Bang - Ban Gioc - Lang Son

Day 5: Lang Son - Bai Tu Long bay

Day 6: Bai Tu Long - Ha Long bay

Day 7: Ha Long bay - Hanoi

Day 1 Ha Noi - Ba Be (L, D)

Our tour guide will pick you up at your hotel in Hanoi for transfer to Ba Be national park. The journey in a comfortable car is around 6 hours passing through Thai Nguyen city by Highway3. Lunch will be set up at a local restaurant before leaving the car at the trail Start—the Nang river trailhead—then floating to tunnel cave in the Dao ethnic Village. We then Start the hike, crossing rain forest looking for wildlife and hiking to the summit of Taken for panoramic views. We then visit Hmong villages before we reach a Dao ethnic village. You are Invited to join the host preparing the traditional food which will be cooked on an open-fire And you may enjoy some local corn wine with your meal. Overnight at original Dao house.

Day 2 Ba Be Trekking (B, L, D)

We will start this day with a traditional breakfast which may include noodles, omelet and bananas - a luxury in this remote area of Ba Be. Leaving the Dao village, it is a 10km hike to a H'mong Village where we may meet the children in a local school (It might be nice to take some candies, pens and notebooks as a small gift). We then find somewhere for a picnic lunch near the school. The last 10 km to Coc Toc village will be very undulating, crossing the Coc Toc stream where the villagers make a living by fishing on Ba Be lake. If it’s hot you can take the opportunity to jump in the lake to have a refreshing swim and cool off! You will then enjoy a superb dinner on the river terrace of Mr Linh's deluxe Tay house, spending the night there too.

Day 3 Ba Be - Hua Ma cave - Cao Bang (B, L, D)

After breakfast we go past Babe forest, you can discover spectacular rivers, deep valleys, natural caves and undulating mountains. On the way, we stop at Hua Ma cave to see one of the biggest cave in Vietnam. It can compare with Phongnha - Kebang cave. On the way to Cao Bang we stop for lunch in a local restaurant, continue to Ma Phuc pass then Cao Bang town, tonight we sleep in Quang Uyen village at homestay.

Day 4 Cao Bang - Ban Gioc - Lang Son (B, L, D)

Leave Quang Uyen, we drive to visit Ban Gioc waterfalls, the highest and most spectacular in the area. Enjoy an imposing scene of Ban Gioc waterfalls then visit Nguom Ngao Cave. Continue your trip to Lang Son with many stop over on the way: visit Tay village and meet Tay and Dao people, taking photos, rural market. Arrive in Lang Son, the capital mountainous. Dinner and overnight at a hotel in Lang Son.

Day 5 Lang Son - Bai Tu Long bay (B, L, D)

Have breakfast at hotel continue your trip to Bai Tu Long bay, Ha Long in Quang Ninh province. We will embark at Hon Gai pier, Ha Long City. Laster, we transfer to traditional junk, have lunch while cruising to magnificent Bai Tu Long Bay, admire the fascinating formations on the way. At afternoon, we will anchor at Vung Vieng fishing village, tender will take you to visit one of the largest and oldest fishing village on Ha Long Bay, exploring the lives of local fishing villagers and then visiting the farm of pearls processing. Then, you can enjoy relaxing on a white sandy beach, swimming or kayaking around the picturesque limestone outcrops. While the cruise’s moving to the area of Trong cave for overnight, you will join in Sunset Party, cooking class and experience the purple sunset sight on the sea.

Day 6 Bai Tu Long - Ha Long bay (B, L, D)

After breakfast on board we continue sailing through Lan Ha Bay keeping as close to the islets as possible. Lan Ha Bay is a fair way from Ha Long City, so not so many tourist boats venture to this side of the bay. Sailing and kayak trips here are best organised in Cat Ba Town. At the area of Three Peach ( near water front) with wildly – scattered beachs, it’s easy to find your own private patch of sand for the day or having wonderful time for kayaking or swimming with friends. After lunch, passengers join in exploring the “Dark and Light” caves by kayak, if luckily enough, passengers can see monkeys or linguals ( endangered species of Cat Ba National Park).

Day 7 Ha Long bay - Hanoi (B, L)

Ha Long Bay, in the Gulf of Tonkin, includes some 1,600 islands and islets, forming a spectacular seascape of limestone pillars. Because of their precipitous nature, most of the islands are uninhabited and unaffected by a human presence. The site's outstanding scenic beauty is complemented by its great biological interest. Visiting Sung Sot Amazing cave with millions of surprising stalactites and stalagmites you can understand why almost travelers must visit there when they come to our country. We arrive in Hanoi at about 5:30 PM and the car will you off at your hotel.
