This Safari starts in Maun and ends in Kasane. It is perfect for those wishing to visit the best wilderness areas in Botswana
DAY 1
Arrive in Maun, the “tourist capital” of Botswana and also the headquarters of numerous safari and Air-charter operations who run trips into the Okavango delta. Maun is the fifth largest town in Botswana. It had a population of 55,784 people in 2011
On arrival at the Maun Airport (Botswana), you will be met and transferred to a lodge. Meals will be at your own expense. Overnight in lodge in Maun on twin sharing basis.
Your guide will meet you at 0700hrs at the lodge/hotel for the start of your safari
DAY 2 Tsodilo Hills,camping
This morning your trip will head to this Heritage site. The Tsodilo Hills are a UNESCO World heritage site (WHS) consisting of rock art, rock shelters, depressions and caves. It gained its WHS listing in 2001 because of its unique religious and spiritual significance to local people as well as its unique record of human settlement over the many millennia. UNESCO estimates that there are over 4500 rock paintings at the sites. The site consists of a few main hills known as the child hill, the female hill and the male hill. These hills are of great cultural and spiritual significance of the San of Kalahari. Camping with bush ablutions (B, L, D)
DAY 3 Aha hills, Gcwihaba caves
On this day you brake your camp and prepare for your next stage of your safari which will be 150 kilometers southeast of Tsodilo Hills. Aha hills are an isolated untouched wilderness area that straddles the western boarder of Namibia. They form a 24,500 hectare dolomite, limestone and marble plateau that are 700 million years old. Camping with bush ablutions (B, L, D)
DAY 4 Maun
Today you will break your camp for long trip back to Maun to resupply for another stage of your safari. Overnight outside Maun campsite (B, L, D)
DAY 5-6 Moremi Game Reserve
From Maun you will go to Moremi Game Reserve, one of the best wilderness areas of Botswana which covers swamp and dry areas. This next two days will be spent searching for the wide variety of wildlife and birds that are renowned for, while absorbing the sounds and beauty of this region. A mokoro excursion will take you along a channel of Kwai River to view game for another perspective and to experience this tranquil mode of transport. Game drives in the early morning as the sun rises and in the late afternoon as the sun sets will be a norm. Camping will be in private designated campsite with ensuite bush ablutions on every tent (B, L, and D)
DAY 7-8 Savuti/Zwezwe-Chobe National Park

Chobe National Park with its diverse and striking landscapes will be your next destination. As you continue your search for wildlife, you will transverse to the drier region of Savuti where the bull elephants dot the plains. Savuti is much known for its predators such as lion, leopard, cheetah and even African wild dogs. The Savuti channel started flowing again after being dry for the last 30 years. The arrival of water charged the landscape as well as accommodating different species which historically have not been able to survive in the rather arid plains of Savuti. This exciting event has allowed large breeding herds of elephants as well as buffalo to visit the area. Camping will be in private designated campsite with ensuit bush ablutions on every tent (B, L, and D)
DAY 9-10 Chobe River- Chobe National Park

You will then head northwards to Chobe River where your game drives meander along the banks of the river, followed by the call of the majestic African Fish eagle. The Chobe River floodplain is an amazing game viewing area where water attracts large herds’ o f buffalo, elephants, zebra and other herbivores. Due to the proliferation of prey, predators are likely to be close at hand. Sun sets in this region as spectacular and allowing amazing photographic opportunities. While in the Chobe, you will participate in a cruise on the Chobe River. This experience allows you to get a closer look at the aquatic animals and birds not easily approached on safari.(B, L and D)
DAY 11 Chobe-Kasane
The safari officially ends today at 0900hrs in Kasane
We will be happy to arrange post–tour accommodation, activities and transfers to Livingstone Airport or lodges, Victoria Airport or Kasane, Botswana at an additional cost. Please ask your guide for further details. Camping will be in private designated campsite with ensuit bush ablutions on every tent (B, L)
