INCOMING ROMANIA ROUND TRIP VISITING BUCHAREST SIBIU SIGHISOARA BUCOVINA BY BUS
ROUTE:
Bucharest – Sibiu – Sighisoara – Corund – Voronet – Gura Humorului – Moldovita – Sucevita – Bicaz – Brasov – Sinaia – Bucharest

OPTIONAL: – we can have lunch on route (15EUR/person/day) depending on the daily schedule
ITINERARY:
Day 1:-pick up from the airport;
-check-in at the hotel in Bucharest; brief evening stroll downtown the capital city;
-dinner at the hotel;
Day 2:
-visit to the Palace of the Parliament;
-departure to Sibiu, check-in at the hotel;
-Optional: the entire group wishes we can eat a traditional lunch at Saxon families in Sibiu surroundings;
-in the evening free time;
-dinner and accommodation at the hotel in Sibiu;
DAY 3:
-visit Sibiu (European Cultural Capital in 2007): historical area, one of the most well preserved location in Romania. Most of the old walls and fortifications are kept in great conditions. The historical city center is in process of becoming UNESCO heritage (the lies bridge, the stairs passage, the lower city, the towers)
-departure to Sibiel to visit the glass painted icons at the Icons Museum.
-Optional: we can eat a traditional lunch in the rural area (20 EUR/person)
-visit the ASTRA museum;
-dinner and accommodation at the hotel in Sibiu;
DAY 4
-departure to Sighisoara to visit citadel that was built by the German colonizers. Here lived for a while Vlad Dracul the second, waiting for the proper moment to climb on the throne of the Romanian Land. In this period was born his son Vlad the Impaler, the well known Dracula.
-optional: if all the group wants we can have a campfire lunch – 20 EUR 15 EUR/person
-in the evening leisure time; dinner and accommodation at the hotel in Sighisoara;
DAY 5:
-departure to Bucovina;on the way we visit a ceramic workshop and handicrafts in Corund (The pottery production in here is customary in the daily life of the village, this being inherited from the ancestors. In the store there are exposed traditional products from the Ardeal region) and the Voronet Monastery, famous for its exterior paintings and for its blue unique color. It was built by Stephan the Great and priest Daniel, which was the first abbot of the monastery and one of the great Saints from the Moldovian lands.
– dinner and accommodation in Gura Humorului area;
DAY 6:
– today we visit Humor Monastery (included on the Historical Monuments in Suceava List), Sucevita Monastery (built at the end of XVI century by members of the Movila family, who had been the first abbots from the Sucevita river, and apprentices of St Daniel. The place where today lies the monastery is called ‘La Pustnici’ ) and Moldovita Monastery (one of the oldest monastic settlements with an important and glorious past.The painted church in included on the UNESCO World Heritage List.)
-optional: we can have lunch on the road;
– dinner at the hotel or if all the group wants, we can have a Romanian traditional dinner accompanied by traditional singers ( 15 EUR/persons);
-dinner and accommodation in Gura Humorului area;
DAY 7:
– departure to Brasov; on the way we will visit the Bicaz Gorge and the Red Lake (it is the biggest natural dam lake in Romania) and optionally we can have lunch in the area;
– we continue our trip to Brasov area where we will serve dinner at a traditional Romanian restaurant in Brasov area or optionally, if all the group desires, we can be accompanied by traditional live music ( 15 EUR/person)
– dinner and accommodation in the Brasov area;
DAY 8:
– visit the historical center of Brasov (The Black Church – one of the representatives Gothic monuments in Romania); and then the Dracula Castle which is on the CNN list of 10 most beautiful medieval castles worldwide and included among the recommended touristic attractions.
– departure to Sinaia to visit the Peles Castle – it is the summer residence for the Romanian royal family and is was built by Carol the 1th (1866 – 1914).
– optionally we can have lunch in the area then we departure to Bucharest for dinner and one night accommodation at the hotel;
DAY 9:
-transfer to the airport
NOTES:
-On request the route can be changed as well as the visiting points.
-The travel agency reserves its right to change the order of the attractions in the program as well as the accommodation, but this will not affect the price or the itinerary.
-The name of the hotels will be announced 10 days before the trip starts.
-The deadline for the last information about the trip will be 15 days before departure.
-Reservations are made on a 30% to 40 % upfront deposit basis.-The travel agency is insured at Omniasig SA Insurance Company by the Policy H no. 24007/06.04.2015.
