Ghorepani Poonhill trekking is one of the short and ideal to all the travel lovers. This short trek of 8 days takes you through some of the awe-inspiring landscapes view of various mountain ranges like Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. The view of Sunrise from an altitude of 3210m is breathtaking. This trek offers trekking and hiking through amazing forests, fields, along with exploration of local cultures and traditions.
This trek begins from one of the beautiful cities Nepal, rightly called as the “City of lakes”, Pokhara. Infact Pokhara is a perfect to start and end your trek. But the real adventure begins from Nayapur, which is at a short distance from Pokhara. One can reach Nayapur after a short bus ride from Pokhara. Nayapur is a beautiful place full of scenic beauty, white floating rivers, beautiful rhododendron forests, beautiful villages, and colorful butterflies.
The trail moves along up and has magnitude of colorful orchids, and beautiful rhododendron forests to reach Landruk village. This village is inhabited by Gurungs. After enjoying the hospitality of local Gurung villagers, we move towards Ghandruk which gives a perfect view of glorious mountains (watch here) at the backdrop. The highlight of this trek is to visit Poonhill (3210m) which gives a spectacular view of sun rise over the whole Himalayan Range. After the Poonhill, one returns to Ghorepani to explore the village and Birethani. The journey takes one through stone paved staircases and sight of breath taking views. The trek ends at Birethani and one returns to Pokhara, the city of lakes. Pokhara will take away all your tiredness of the journey with its scenic beauty and places that it has to offer for the tourists.
