San Francisco
Famous for its nightlife, hills and moderate politics, San Francisco holds the first place in the list of top 10 must-see world cities in 2013. It is a very interesting city that abounds with landmark monuments such as Chinatown, Golden Gate Bridge and the Fisherman’s Dwarf. However, if you are looking for some special occasion to visit San Francisco, the city will soon play host to the 34th America’s Cup.
Hyderabad
The fourth most populous tourist destination in India and the erstwhile capital of the filthy-rich princely state, the city is famous for its breathtaking palaces and gardens that were sold off to private patrons for renovation. One of the best examples of refurbished structures of Hyderabad’s old city is Taj Falaknuma Palace. It is a five star hotel restored back to glory by the famous Taj Group. Another architectural gem in this city includes Char Minar and Golconda Fort.
Paris
Mind and heart always has a conflict. Paris is certainly the choice of my heart. It is the heartbeat of European culture, beauty and romance and abounds with some of the most breathtaking sights on the planet. The list of the city’s landmark includes the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, and of course the Louvre. The Louvre is home to The Mona Lisa whose timeless beauty continues to fascinate everyone.
Beijing
Beijing remains the focal point of China’s art and culture. Even though the 2008 Beijing Olympics seem like a forgotten memory, its effect is still persistent. The city abounds with an array of architectural marvels such as the Beijing-Shanghai high speed rail, Tianning Pagoda and Beihai Park. If you are planning a trip to Beijing, you will never fall short of options. There are Chinese eateries, music venues and boutiques.
Edinburg
An award winning, world class tourist destination packed with sandy beaches, spectacular skyline and towering buildings, Edinburg is a part of the Reynosa–McAllen and McAllen–Edinburg–Mission metropolitan cities. Emblazoned as World Heritage Site by UNESCO, the city center lies between two extinct volcanoes. Besides city center, there is royal mile, which runs on the south side and is lined with churches, bagpipe players and kilts selling shops.
Bangkok
Dotted with historical places and temples offering a glimpse of city’s ancient history, Bangkok is the capital of one of Asia’s most popular destinations-Thailand. Some prominent historic attractions include The Marble Temple and The Temple of the Dawn. Besides historic attractions, the city is known for its breathtaking nightlife, world class shopping experience and fine dining restaurants serving delectable cuisines.
Sydney
Sydney is famous for its beautiful beaches, breathtaking sites and the world renowned Sydney Opera House. The city is positioned on the spectacular Sydney Harbor offering amazing views of all directions. The city has everything which you need for a perfect holiday-arts, culture, scenery and polls. I don’t find any reason behind not including Sydney in the list of top 10 must-see world cities in 2013.
Christchurch
Fondly known as New Zealand’s Garden City, Christchurch is overcoming the calamity caused by the 2010 and 2011 earthquakes. The city offers a breathtaking mix of spirit, determination and panache. The live-music venues and multi cuisine restaurants are the major attractions of this destination. It would be a great idea to join Christchurch in its resurrection stage.
Amsterdam
More than a single reasons are available to choose Amsterdam as a holiday destination for 2013. Be it’s about the 400th anniversary of canal ring, 160th birthday of Vincent van Gogh’s, 40th anniversary of color swirled museum and recently opened refurbished version of Rijks Museum, all these reasons are enough to beckon the traveler in you.
Las Vegas
Fondly known as America’s gambling capital, Las Vegas is largely visited to experience the flashy, ritzy and the high-class ambience of casinos. Lined adjacent to The Strip, all the hotels strive hard to give a strong competition to each other.
