Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek
Situated in Nepal’s eastern border lies Mount Kanchenjunga (8,586 m), world’s third highest mountain and considered as one of the most beautiful mountain massifs in the world. This trek will bring you to Kanchenjunga Base Camp and the trek allows you to visit Pathibara Temple, which is an important religious site for many Indian and Nepali pilgrims.
The trek goes through the Kanchenjunga Conservation Area, managed by local communities in partnership with WWF, which is one of the least populated areas in Nepal. Its forest, alpine meadows, high altitude wetlands are homeland for endangered snow leopard, red panda, the Himalayan black bear and clouded leopard.
