Annapurna Circuit Trekking in Nepal

The Annapurna Circuit is one of the most popular treks within the Annapurna mountain range. It is about 300 km long and rises to an altitude of 5416m on the Thorung La pass, which touches the edge of the Tibetan plateau. Thorung La, 5416m is the highest pass in the Annapurna circuit, in the Dampdar Himal, located North of the Annapurna range.

The trek begins at Besi Sahar in the Marshyangdi River valley, and ends in the Kali Gandaki River valley. It's about a seven hour drive from Kathmandu to Besi Sahar, on a road passing through paddy fields and subtropical forests.

The Annapurna circuit trek crosses two different river valleys and encircles the Annapurna Massif*. After trekking around the entire Annapurna Massif, trekkers will cross the Thorung La pass and start the descending trail which passes through the village of Manang, 3540m, and continues on to one of the famous Hindu temples, Muktinath, 3800m, and the village of Ranipauwa, 3700m, in eastern Mustang.

Trekkers will come across breath-taking views of waterfalls and gigantic cliffs, and observe fascinating village life and culture. This trail is regularly used by the local traders. The complete adventure is so thrilling that trekkers will never forget these moments throughout their life.
